Where Your Donation Goes

Our committee is dedicated to honoring Alison’s work as a historian of Africa, supporter of the Buffalo Public School system, and fierce defender of human rights. Through fund-raising and awareness campaigns, we seek to perpetuate Alison's legacy and continue her quest to educate people about injustices across the world and what we can do to mitigate them. As democracy around
the world is imperiled by rising trends of xenophobia and intolerance, the defense of human rights has never been more urgent.

Ways to Give

• Call 855-GIVE- 2-UB and indicate that your contribution is to the Alison Des Forges Memorial Fund.

• Donate online here. Click on Search for More option and type "Alison" into the new search box. You can then choose between the:
  Alison L. Des Forges Memorial Resource Fund, which covers our expenses for programming;

  or the

  Alison L. Des Forges Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund, which produces the interest to fund the scholarships.
